Life in the Slow Lane with Zenn Electric Car

By law, you can't drive the new Zenn "neighborhood electric vehicle" above 25 mph but if most of your driving is hyper-local, the park-anywhere Zenn could be a good fit. Cost of "fuel?" About 3 cents/mile.

Synopsis

On San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley we meet Marc Korchin, who left his software business to start Green Motors, an auto dealership that sells electric and plugin hybrid technology. Here he shows off an all-electric subcompact from Canadian manufacturer Zenn. Korchin takes the car out onto the streets of Berkeley and explains how the $16,000 vehicle is practical for short-run, low-speed city transportation.
